MEET BRYANT
Bryant DeLong, Mayor of North Kansas City
Bryant DeLong was elected Mayor of North Kansas City in April 2021. Prior to being elected Mayor he served 2 terms as a member of the North Kansas City Council.
While a member of the governing body he has taken on many roles:
Council Liaison to the Parks and Recreation Board (2017-2020)
Mayor Pro Tem (2019-2020)
City Council Planning Commission Appointee
Bike Master Plan Committee Member
Police and Fire Pension Board Chairman
North Kansas City Destination Developers Community Improvement District Chairman
Planning Commission Member
Tim C. Crummett Family Charitable Fund Projects Committee Member
Bryant has also taken on many leadership roles during this time at the local, state, and federal level representing North Kansas City.

In addition Bryant has also been active with many local organizations including Climate Action KC.
Bryant is currently a Senior Associate at State Street Bank. Prior to his current work Bryant worked at Continental Airlines working as a Fleet Service Agent. During his time with Continental, Bryant served as the MCI Shop Steward for the Teamsters. In late 2010 Continental Airlines merged with United Airlines.
In 2014, Bryant took a voluntary furlough from United and began working at the bank.
Bryant met his wife Anessa while working at Continental/United. They currently live in Ward 1 with their 2 children.
